How To Follow The Moon Daily

Following the moon daily can give you so many insights into your life. I love following the moon and learning about myself. I'm always getting questions about it so I am going to show you how you can follow the moon daily too.

Why Follow The Moon?

The moon moves the tides in the ocean, so of course the moon is going to affect us as it is moving. Watching where it is moving too and then looking at your astrological chart can give you different insights as to what is going on in the journey of your life.

Approximately every 2.5 days the moon moves into a new astrological sign. The signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. And in your astrological chart you have a planet in every sign and they live in different houses that also give different details and represent different things. We will talk more about that later.

Following the moon is a fun, cool thing to help guide you on this journey through life. The insights it can give you are pretty spot on!

How To Follow The Moon Daily

I'm going to give you step by step instructions on how to follow the moon. There are a few different steps to this. If you are having a hard time figuring it out, I do offer help. I will look up your chart in whole signs for you and send it to you, it's called whole signs chart help in my shop. But try this guide out and see if you got it first!

Step one- Getting Your Astrological Chart In Whole Signs

You need a full chart of all your planets, what signs they are in and what houses. You want to get it in whole sign houses so that it will give you a house for every sign.

There are many sites you can do this on but I like to use https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/birth-chart-horoscope-online

You have to type in all your birth info correctly or you won't get an accurate chart.

Once you type in all your info and get your birth chart, there is a lot of info you can read on there about all your signs, etc. If you want to know some stuff about yourself read thru it, or save it for later to read thru.

Keep scrolling down to the bottom until you find a chart that looks like the one below (this is a random chart I made).

Astro Chart

If you look at the chart- the top part tells you what sign each planet is in. And if you look at the bottom part labeled "houses" you can see what house each of your signs in is. For example, when you look at this chart, you can see this person has Sun in Capricorn in the 4th house.  For every planet, you have a sign and the house it is in.

There should be no repeats if you did this properly (putting it into whole signs). This might be a little different from another chart you have done because you are putting it into whole signs. This is an old preferred method when determining the houses for your planets.

You have completed step one in learning how to follow the moon, now you are ready for step two.

Step Two- Check Where The Moon is For The Day

You need to now check where the moon is for the day. There are many websites for this as well, I use https://mooncalendar.astro-seek.com/

There is an example below of what you are going to look at.

On this day above the moon was in Aries.

So now I would look at the astro chart to see where this person has Aries in their chart and what house. I see the astrology chart above has Chiron in Aries in the 6th house. We will talk more about this in a minute.

Now onto step 3 to learn about the houses and what this means.

Step 3- What Does The Houses Mean?

The 6th house represents health, fitness, work, daily life, service.

Aries is also a fire sign. So when this moon is in Aries, for this person, they might feel motivated to get things done, work out, be of service, etc.  Or they could butt heads with people in their daily lives when the moon is here.

Keeping a journal, or some notes following the moon and your chart is helpful to understand yourself and how you feel as the moon moves through different signs. You will be able to get a flow of how you feel in relation to the moons movement.

Like for me, when the moon is in Pisces, I am an emotional mess.  I always crying and feeling really sad.  Pisces is a water sign, I have Pisces in the 3rd house- ruling mind, communications, mental activity- I always get so deep in my head when the moon is here and find it really hard to get out.

But since I know this, it's not surprising to me and I can maneuver from there. It makes it easier for me to not be so hard on myself. It's just part of the flow.

If you look at the astrology chart graphic above showing the moon in Aries- you can also see that is rules Head, teeth, tongue, etc. Every planet also rules certain body parts. On this day you could have head aches, teeth pain etc. You could feel great, that's why keeping the journal will help you see the patterns that are unique to you.

Following The Moon Daily

The moon and the sign it's in feels different for everyone.  Everyone's charts are so unique and there is so much to learn there. But I think following the moon is a great first jump into astrology and learning to work with it in daily life.

Also if you are a woman, your hormone cycle runs the same as the moon! This helps you connect to yourself and your femininity. Try my Womb Healing Affirmations to connect even deeper.

Have fun flowing with the Moon!
